History

Vita-Herb Nutriceuticals, Inc.® was founded in 1999 with a primary focus on the emerging market for oil-filled, 2-piece (hardshell) capsules in the Dietary Supplement market. The company has since grown to become the largest manufacturer of this dosage form in the western United States.

The company obtained an OTC Drug License in 2000 and has successfully maintained the standards of compliance necessary to retain its status as an OTC Drug manufacturing site.

To gain recognition as an advanced technology encapsulating company and home to the leading-edge NON-GEL liquid delivery system, a novel technology - NPIB - Nitrogen Purge Instant Bond ®, was invented and patented. NPIB ® is a bandless tamper - resistant and tamper - evident process for semi-solid, powder, Capsule-in-a-Capsule and Liquid-Filled capsule dosage forms.

Vita-Herb has also been annually certified by the Marine Stewardship Council, an NSF Company, as being compliant with its Chain of Custody Standards.

After a rigorous qualification process, the company was awarded a Foreign Site Reference Number by Health Canada, enabling it to manufacture products for direct export/sale to Canada.
